Whoa! Is the suggestion here that the Globe runs the likes of Doyle, Rick Salutin and Jim Stanford other than as ironic "village idiot" columns just to let Globe readers know the sorts of fringe thinking is "out there"?

What I'd like to know is why the bogus and dated "Bowling for Columbine" is being televised on the CBC's "The Passionate Eye" this Sunday at taxpayer expense.
