The voracity of their attacks on their own propaganda machine is startling though...like a scorned lover!
Has the CBC changed their mandate to become war-cheerleaders as accused by one blogger? Not a chance! Are they trying to present a fair and balanced approach? Not a chance either! But this speaks to the disingenous, myopic view of the left. It hurts their cause to acknowledge that our soldiers have families and are not the blood-thirsty war mongers that the left would have us believe.
It also displays what happens when the insular socialists after gorging themselves on a steady diet of the CBC and leftist blogs finally discover that a real world exists. You know the reaction when a baby is first taken out of doors and the bare skin of their foot touches grass? Same thing!

Not really. I've talked to Liberals and other leffties who criticized the cbc (and other media) long ago just as much as conservatives. Libs I know critizie it just as much which is why I scoff at SOME of the illogical criticisms of media posted here.

Sorry Mike, that some lefties criticize the CBC for not being unfailingly slanted their way with every word uttered on air doesn't qualify as proof of CBC impartiality.
The fact that your acquaintances aren't satisfied with the CBC's overwhelmingly leftish bias in both reporting and programming speaks to their intolerance of any break from the norm, anything resembling balance. I've seen some of this myself when discussing media bias with the more delusional left dwellers of the blogosphere. Stumbling on a story or editorial that doesn't tear conservatives a new one sends them screaming down the aisles in full throated outrage over the blatant right wing bias at the Toronto Star, the New York Times, the CBC, or some other hopelessly left wing media entity.
It's actually quite funny to watch some times.
