Very Elmer Gantry of him, right down to the buying of indulgences. Praise Gaia!

hey Damian, great blog, just came across it today while doing research for an article. in response to the 'carbon credits' rebuttal, imho you are letting suzuki off a bit too easy. the people over at nicedoggie.net put it way more eloquently than i can, so here is a link if you want to have a look..[External Link]

Or the eight of them could have piled into two priuses. No, he chooses the luxury of the bus and writes a check. Not all of us can do that.

A epilogue to this would be for someone to go and see where the money went an whether any CO2 emissions were actually eliminated/prevented or -like MADD - that 90% of the money went into marketing fees.

What's so great about the Train exactly? Agreed BioDiesel would have been the ideal choice. But there aren't actually that many BioDiesel busses out there currently. I'm glad he chose not to fly, which is the LEAST gas effecient method of travel.

Brodbeck is a tool. What's HE doing re. greenhouse gasses?

Actually, biodiesel isn't necessarily greener than conventional fuel. Do a little more research into it and you'll see what I mean.
