Canadian values or not, a public health care system doesn't give Smitherman the right to toy with patients' time and quality of life. If he's not dedicated to finding the best solutions for those in need he and his ideological government should step aside.

Madness you say? No, stupidity. The Shouldice Hospital in Richmond Hill (privately run) also does hernia operations at much less cost than provincial hospitals and under better patient care. Smitherman is an ideologically driven idiot.
