The conspiracy theories are outright stupid. The reasoning goes something like this: there are many things about human consciousness we cnnot explain, therefore evolution was a conspiracy. The problem with conspiracy theories is that they presume omnipotent conspirators, when the reality is that every organization bumbles along and no conspracy of over 5 people ever holds over time.

Actually, when it comes down to 'mechanical' explanations on how/why certain structures failed or what happens when an airplane crashes in an empty field, they are experts. Your qualifications please.
