He was born in Dagenham. Moved out to California to pursue an acting career, met Jim Henson in an LA bar, and the rest as they say...

Alas, Ernie fails to conclude his rendition with the word 'United!' and a treble hand-clap. Odd, given that he lead the Bobby Moore Upper in a rendition of 'Big Fat Frank' this past Saturday.
