Comments: What kind of Canadian are you?

"You've got to be taught to hate and fear,
you've got to be taught from year to year,
it's got to be drummed in your dear little ear---
you've got to be carefully taught!..."

Any day now, I fear the full onslaught of the US 81st airborne to seize control of our precious bodily fluids...oil and water.

After that, I fully expect re-education at the nearest Oral Roberts U.

Better red than dead. Viva la revolucion!

Fight the power. Down with the establishment. Don't trust anyone over 30.

Where do they get those paranoid freaks in the peace movement anyway. I just wanna know if they get laid more than I do. Then I'll join.

Mark,
Thx for re-vectoring me onto just who it is that constitutes the real peace movement.

I feel safer already.

If there really was a threat to Canada or an additional threat to Cdn troops, Mr. Bole's position would be supportable. Hwever, his position does not make sense. Aren't the Taliban already targeting Cdn troops. And since the Taliban do not have ICBMs, submarines nor a heavy airlift capability, how exactly do they threaten Canada? If Mr. Boyle was really concerned about Cdn security, and the others that support his position, he/they would call for an end to an inane immigration policy that allows terrorists into Canada, in particular from Muslim countries.

Of course, Mr. Boyle probably believes diversity is strength and to suggest otherwise is iniquitous.

What kind of Canadian are you? Hyphenated. Unless of course I'm an alleged terrorist then I'm definitely just a Canadian.

"It is important to note that this operation in no way reflects negatively on any specific community or ethno-cultural group in Canada."

Too funny. Right Mr. Boyle?

Comment by DCardno:

"...and Canada will withdraw from the field of battle, white flag raised, leaving NATO solidarity shattered..."

I am not sure that I would attribute the 'shattering of NATO solidarity' to Canada, as much as to -just f'rinstance- Germany, Italy, France, or Spain, all of whom have either refused to participate in a mission delegated to NATO by the UN, or put conditions on their participation which serve to reduce the value of their contribution.

DJ - what in Mr Boyle's comments would lead you to assert that "Of course, Mr. Boyle probably believes diversity is strength and to suggest otherwise is iniquitous" and then go off on your own tangent about an unrelated issue? Putting absolutely irrelevent comments in other's mouths is a pretty feeble tactic.

Only the willfully myopic or invincibly ignorant see it as unrelated. All any thinking individual has to do is hear the news from London.

Despite all the moaning and wringing of hands and million dollar remunerations, the strategy in WWII was to engage the enemy in Europe and Japan, defend the homeland and intern potential fifth column threats because there was not the time, intelligence or resources to infiltrate those groups.

Are we at war or not?

Look at the British example. They are engaged with the enemy on his turf, the RN, with others are securing the sea lanes, and yet a fifth column is allowed to prey on innocent victims in the homeland. Clearly, they do not have the intelligence resources or capability to infiltrate these Islamic groups. Spooks can infiltrate the BNP but it takes a smoking Mercedes to tip off the Bobbies that there's a bomb threat. It's a joke.

Do you really believe that Churchill would have allowed this lunacy in WWII?

Unrelated to any statement made by Mr Boyle, and following on an attempt to dismiss him for words he never said.
