Kathy Shaidle made this same point some time ago on her blog. Apparently when CBC did "Little Mosque on the Prairie" they anxiously consulted Islamic clergy to make sure no offense was given. When they did a Catholic-bashing show that featured the desecration of communion wafers among other things, they didn't bother consulting any Catholic clergy.
'Cause, you know, Catholics don't issue fatwas.
That was one of the most innocuous cartoon strips on Islam that I've ever seen.
The publishers have no guts, no courage, no edge.
Oh, they've got plenty of guts... when it's Christianity that's being satirized. But just mention the word "Islam" and they run like bunnies.

The first was the Bombs in India,then Bombs in Lebanon , and finally bombs in Afghanistan .
The victims were mainly civilians and most decent Humans are getting pretty sick of this crap and equally sick of the PC MSM where they wont even run a Political Cartoon that may be deemed offensive to Muslims and cause them to murder more civilians to defend their Religion Of Peace.
The Media had pounded the Catholic Church for the sex abuse scandal over the Priests , but they didn't dare go near the FACT that close to 90% of the abuse was by Homosexual-Pedophiles .
Sadly , these media yahoos will still be saying the Islamists are really freedom fighters even when they are sawing off their heads with a dull knive and praising Muhammed and Allah.

Well, that was quite a leap - from the cartoons of blaspheme to pedophile (more precisely ephebophile) priests.
Isn't it pretty obvious that a scandal, involving Catholic priests molesting altar boys, involves homosexuality? Would replacing homosexual with heterosexual make any sense at all in the context? In any event, the scandal isn't so much the molestation, but the cover-up and facilitation by the Church itself, which allowed the problem to become widespread.
Anyway, it's safe to assume that most of us are all for locking up pedophiles, be they homosexual or heterosexual, priest or gym coach.
Last week she was an Amish nudist? hmmmm... could you link to that?

They're also generally not fashionably ethnic, "progressively" Anti-American, and prone to playing the victim card.
I think that the indulgence of Muslims likely has about as much to do with their "persons/victims of colour" status as their propensity for violence (which, of course, many leftists find quite exhilirating as long as it's directed in the cause of "resistance" to the US or suchlike). Musn't make a minority feel disempowered or stigmatized or anthing...
