Comments: Craig's closet
Comment by Dan:

Well now that Ted Haggard has "cured" himself, maybe Senator Craig can have some one-on-one therapy sessions with Ted.

"...handed the plainclothes sergeant who arrested him a business card that identified him as a U.S. Senator and said, “What do you think about that?”

Maybe that was his way of hitting on the officer. He may have been looking to indulge a uniform fetish...

Comment by Sigivald:

Hate-crime laws are bad. What's bad about not extending them?

Likewise, being gay doesn't entail having to support gay marriage, even without self-hatred.

Identity politics is a curse and should be rejected vehemently.

Comment by Richard Aubrey:

So, once repubs stop hiding, denouncing and denying gayness, they'll stop hitting on strangers in public restrooms? Hell, democratic gays are, presumably, cruising the Greyhound station, so I don't see the point.

The only thing that won't happen is nobody will be able to point at voting records vs. personal behavior.

Comment by Chad:

I'm from Idaho, and I've met Sen. Craig multiple times. I can hardly think of a Senator who has done more for Idaho than him. I can't think of a Senator that has more determination to go and fight for our state, or any state.

You Hill bloggers say what you want, but reguardless of what may or may not have happened in some bathroom, Senator Craig has proudly represented Idaho in every way in the Senate Chambers! Isn't that the only thing that counts liberals?

Comment by Dave Ruddell:

You Hill bloggers...

Which 'Hill' is that? Signal Hill? But Damian doesn't even live in NF anymore.

I think somebody needs to check out the blogs they're commenting on a little more thoroughly before using the old cut 'n' paste.

Dave: Maybe Chad's referring to Magnetic "Hill". Oops - wrong province again.

Parliament Hill in Ottawa? The City on the Hill? Capitol Hill, I guess.

Comment by Chad:

I'm talking about those of you that think that you have some kind of say in what happens on Capitol Hill.

He's my Senator and my feelings mean a LOT more than any of yours.

"Senator Craig has proudly represented Idaho in every way in the Senate Chambers!"

Too much information.:)

Safe prediction of the week: Senator Craig will shortly find Jesus. Pass the eggplant!

Comment by Dave Ruddell:

sigh...

Chad, you do realize that you have a Canadian blogger here, don't you? One that I would guess is under no delusions that he has any impact on what goes on in DC?

Comment by DaninVan:

O..M..G..Chad, your Senator is presumed innocent until he scuttles his own ship. The man is at least guilty of incredibly bad judgment, and THAT IS more important than your feelings, given the perceived (and personally flaunted by the gent in question) influence of a U.S. Senator.
...we won't embarrass ourselves here by bringing up Canadian Senators.

Ah, that would be "feewings"... feewings that have little importance inasmuchas the facts are the only things that have any meaning.

Or did I miss [sarc] tags?

"many Republicans think homosexuality is something which should be ... denounced"

Because we all know Democrats would never denounce someone because of their homosexuality...

Comment by Alan K. Henderson:

It's interesting that people automatically assume he's gay, and never consider the possibility he's bisexual.

"and never consider the possibility he's bisexual"

What do you mean... he's only had sex twice? Weirdo.

Comment by Bruce Rheinstein:

I always thought a bisexual was someone who had sex while on a bicycle. And then there are the Trisexuals.
